The Colour Of The Decade

There is, according to Hannah Marriott of The Guardian, a theory in fashion that the most significant trends of each decade become apparent at the midway point.  And this decade's dominant hue?  Grey.

As she writes in a recent online article for the newspaper, it's "No longer shorthand for drab and depressing, grey has become a fashion colour, signifying good taste".  How things have changed! Do you remember Marks & Spencer's ill-fated foray with grey? 

I've succumbed to the smokey shade myself, and have even dedicated a Pinterest board to the colour here.
