|3.1 Phillip Lim|
The pre-fall 2014 collections were Zara Wong's inspiration for her recent post for Vogue Australia online.
She shows us how to stay ahead of the fashion pack, while making the most of our existing wardrobes, by following some simple new takes on layering. Here are a few of my favourite looks...
Phillip Lim's lingerie-esque dress (shown above) is given a more androgynous feel by wearing it with cigarette trousers. A new silhouette that's easy to try for size!
If you're in fear of baring your midriff, you can still tap into the cropped top trend by wearing a classic white shirt underneath.

For a touch of grunge, tie a plaid shirt around your waist. It'll add guaranteed interest to any skirt.
A sliver of lace sneaking out from a khaki knit is just enough femininity to make this military-influenced look very, very cool.
