From today, the Victoria and Albert Museum will be celebrating all things eighties.
But forget power dressing and the shoulder pad, this eighties fashion fest concentrates on London's vibrant underground music scene, and it's impact on the wider world at the time.
On display will be outfits by designers inspired by the capital's nightlife, such as John Galliano and Vivienne Westwood, as well as original club wear from the era.
From the frills and foppery of the New Romantics, to the Day-Glo loose fitting styles of acid house, this exhibition will showcase how the relationship between the catwalk and clubland helped to reinvent fashion.
